Hub accounting for 15% of global LNG market may appear in Yamal
YEKATERINBURG, Apr 7 (PRIME) -- A hub, accounting for 15% of the global liquefied natural gas (LNG) market may be established in Russia’s northern Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the regional government said in a statement on Friday.
“Yamal is the richest place in terms of gas reserves. And, considering resources of the Gydan peninsula, over 70 million tonnes of LNG may be produced there. In future, we plan to establish a hub having a 15% share of the global LNG market,” the statement quoted Governor Dmitry Kobylkin as saying.
